LONG ISLAND, NY — Rocky Point School District bus driver Theresa Fogal was recognized again for safely maneuvering her bus full of students as it was sliding downhill during a recent snowstorm — this time at a Brookhaven Town Board meeting, officials said Tuesday.

By staying calm, Fogal guided the bus down the steep, icy hill and kept it upright and moving forward, and no one was injured, according to town officials.

Councilwoman Jane Bonner praised Ms. Fogal for her heroism and presented her with a proclamation, officials said.
