1. A Coram man with 33 active warrants was found and arrested at a Patchogue motel, 25-year-old Mathew Verdosa. He's being charged with 43 counts including burglary, grand larceny and criminal possession. (News 12)
2. A mother and father from Central Islip were arrested for allegedly leaving a 13-month-old baby alone in a car in the parking lot of Target on Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore on Saturday. The car was off and the temperature was as low as 22 degrees. (News 12)
3. Wading River Fire Department installed its first-ever female chief. Denise Gluck took over last month and first joined the department at age 19. (RiverheadLOCAL)
