Here are the top three stories in Miller Place-Rocky Point today:

  1. Police are seeking information about a bar stabbing that happened in May. Four men got into a fight at JDC's Tailgaters Sports Bar, 1083 Main St., and a man stabbed another at t 1:04 a.m. on May 28. He is wanted for assault. (Patch)
  2. The Town of Brookhaven Planning Board is considering a new project at The Boulevard in Yaphank called The Ponds. The developer has submitted plans that include 152 housing units, with duplexes, triplexes and four quadplexes, and 114 units will be dedicated to residents 55 and older. Ten percent will be affordable housing. There will also be a 5,000-square-foot clubhouse, an in-ground pool, patio space, a barbecue area and dog park if the proposal is approved.   3. A new restaurant has opened in Wading River in the former Michael Anthony's Food Bar space. Watermark of Wading River opened Monday, and is serving brunch, lunch and dinner. The owner used to own Munday’s luncheonette in Huntington. (Northforker)
