Miller Place-Rocky Point St. Patrick's Day Parade Set For March 10

Vincent Worthington of the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office will lead the line of march.

MILLER PLACE, NY — The Friends of St. Patrick have announced the Miller Place-Rocky Point St. Patrick's Day Parade will kick off on March 10, with Vincent Worthington leading the line of march, officials announced in a release Thursday.

Worthington, a long-standing member and Sergeant of Arms for the organization, is a member of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s office since 1996, officials said. After moving to Wading River with his wife in 2002, he became involved in the community, and was particularly
drawn to The Friends of St. Patrick, becoming a member in 2005, according to officials.

As Worthington, who can trace his Irish ancestry back to 1744, expanded his family to include three sons, he became increasingly involved in raising funds to support the parade and organizing the parade itself, officials said.
