  1. A fight between teens and a trash can being knocked over prompted 911 calls at the Smith Haven Mall on Monday. Officers responded to Smith Haven Mall at 4:34 p.m. after multiple 911 callers reported possible shots fired but there were no confirmed gun shots. (Patch)
  2. Three crew members of Ridge Fire Department Emergency Medical Services were honored by Peconic Bay Medical Center for saving a patient with a severe laceration on their forearm from bleeding to death: Paramedics Matthew Mauro and Joanna Guerrero and ambulance driver Arthur Vansicklen. (Patch)
  3. Peconic Bay Medical Center opened a new drive-thru coronavirus PCR testing site in Riverhead. Testing is free and available by appointment from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (RiverheadLOCAL)
  4. On Monday, there was confusion when people showed up to a new COVID-19 testing site in Hauppauge. The site was due to open Wednesday but some people had confirmed appointments with confirmation emails, text messages and even QR codes. (News 12)
