Road Closures Ahead For St. Patrick's Day Parade On North Shore: Police

The parade kicks off at 1 p.m. on Sunday, and will wend its way along Route 25A.

MILLER PLACE-ROCKY POINT, NY — Motorists are being warned of road closures ahead of the Miller Place-Rocky Point St. Patrick's Day parade on Sunday, Suffolk police said in a post to Instagram.

Route 25A will be closed from Miller Place Road to Harding Street from noon to 4 p.m. There will also be no parking on 25A from Rocky Point Landing Road to Tyler Avenue from 6 to 4 p.m. There will be no parking on Broadway from north of Main Street to King Road.

"Hey, neighbors! Just a heads-up that the St. Patrick’s Day Parade is coming up, and with it, some road closures in our area," the 7th Precinct's post read. "Plan ahead for detours, delays, and limited parking. If you’re heading to the parade, get there early and enjoy the fun. Let’s celebrate safely and keep our community moving smoothly."

The parade, which is one of the largest on Long Island, is set to step off at 1 p.m.
