“It was a wonderful debut for Ms. DeMelfi and for the chorus students,” said Mr. Craig Knapp, district K-5 music department chairperson. “The repertoire choices were very developmentally appropriate and musically balanced. I was especially impressed with the tone quality the students produced. Working with over 90 students and getting them to blend their voices together in a gentle and delicate manner is very challenging. It is no easy task to cultivate a large group of second grade students and shape them into singers who come together with a gentle tone while activating the head voice in a healthy fashion.”
