Rocky Point High School Named A Recognition School

Eagle Pride continues as Rocky Point High School was named a Recognition School by the New York State Education Department. It was identified as one of 582 schools across the state that are high achieving and high progress schools.

Recognition Schools are considered high performing or rapidly improving schools. To be identified for the honor, schools must have high academic achievement and graduation rates in addition to performing well on other accountability indicators for all student groups. This year’s honor was based on the district’s 2018-19 data.

The high school will receive a special certificate of recognition from the New York State Commissioner of Education.
