Rocky Point Master Teachers Honored By Senator

Three Rocky Point Union Free School District educators were lauded by New York State Sen. Anthony Palumbo for each being named a New York State Master Teacher. Rocky Point High School math teachers Janece Alfredson and Jenessa Eilers and Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School teacher and Grade 3-5 Science Chairperson Michael Friscia were presented with certificates at a recent board of education meeting. Rocky Point Middle School science teacher Audra Hallock was also recognized as a Master Teacher Emeritus. Hallock was also the district’s first teacher in the prestigious statewide program.
