Rocky Point Students Create Holiday Cards For Beyond the Badge

As students in Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School continue to develop a deeper understanding of society and learn about people who are important in their school and neighborhoods, they came up with a thoughtful holiday message to thank those who help strengthen the larger community.

Second graders in teacher Nichole Schirtzer’s class participated in Cards for Cops and created holiday cards for the men and women in blue. All cards were submitted to the nonprofit organization Beyond the Badge in Wantagh to be distributed to various police precincts across Long Island.
