1. A homeless man was charged with a hate crime for graffiti that included a swastika in Port Jefferson Station on a building on Route 112. Carl Vario was arrested on Wednesday. (Patch)
2. A Stony Brook student will spend spring break bringing donations to Ukrainian refugees in Romania. Thomas Brinkley has organized a supply drive to collect blankets, diapers, powdered milk and toiletries for refugees from the war and will bring them to Bucharest. (News 12)
3. Police have released the name of the woman found in a car that was engulfed in flames in Baiting Hollow. Riverhead Town Police said the person found was "tentatively identified" as Kimberly Pawlowski, 49, a resident at the address and that the incident was not criminal. (Patch)
