- Two men were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly impersonating police officers. Franco Calla, 20, of Port Jefferson Station, and Robert Toomey, 23, of Smithtown, tried to stop two cars on Route 111. Police are asking anyone they believe to have also been victims of the two to come forward. (Subscription: Newsday)
- A 20-year-old Riverhead man was arrested for allegedly giving a 14-year-old Riverhead Middle School student candy that was infused with Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) last month. Marvin A. Dominguez Torres was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. The student shared the candy with two other students. (Dan's Papers)
- The criminal indictment against a Suffolk police officer charged with filing a false statement after the arrest of a man accused of car theft and resisting arrest has been dismissed. The judge said the case against Police Officer Matthew Cameron was not sufficient. (Patch)
