The ceremony was concluded with veteran Greg Efermetz performing “Taps” on his bugle.
The assembly was part of an annual tradition started five years ago by teacher John Mauceri, who organized it not only to highlight the important contributions of veterans, but to teach students the rich history, traditions, and roles of veterans in creating and defending the nation, according to officials.
