Makeover Slated for Miller Place Wendy's
Company spokesperson said the Miller Place location will close in October for two months.

Local fast-food spot Wendy's in Miller Place is slated to get a mini-makeover this fall and will cause the restaurant to close for about two months.
A proposal calls for replacing the red bricks and shingles with a new look featuring large glass windows, stone and tile veneer, and cedar shake singles. The 'Wendy's' brand logo in the front of the fast-food joint would be moved from the front facade to a chimney-like sign projecting from the middle of the building. The front of the restaurant would instead read the company's logo: 'Quality is our Recipe.'
A company spokesperson said the restaurant, located on Rt. 25A, would close in early October and would reopen sometime in early December. Residents looking to fill their Frosty craving can head up the road to the company's Port Jefferson location on Nesconset Highway.
