Here at Patch, we like to celebrate students' achievements as they represent their schools with pride. What happens after they graduate? Well, we like to celebrate that too. Here's what some recent standout athletes from Rocky Point High School have achieved on the college level.

Peter Vivonetto
Alma Mater: Rocky Point, Class of 2011 (four-year starter and two-time All County)
Current School: Brown University (sophomore midfielder)
Notes & Quotes: According to his school bio, Vivonetto made the transition from short-stick to long-stick in 2012 and "has made great strides with his stick-work and defensive anticipation." Brown is currently 5-1 and owns a No. 20 national ranking according to Nike/Inside Lacrosse.

Caitlin Gargan
Alma Mater: Rocky Point, Class of 2011 (five-year varsity lacrosse player, Team MVP as a senior)
Current School: Notre Dame (sophomore midfielder)
Notes & Quotes: According to her school bio, Gargan made various contributions over the course of 15 games as a freshman. Now, as a sophomore, she has broken out a little more, with seven goals and three assists so far for Notre Dame (8-0), ranked the No. 7 team in the nation according to the DeBeers Women's Media Poll.

Kara Mupo
Alma Mater: Rocky Point, Class of 2010 (named Under Armor All American, set school record with 330 career goals)
Current School: Northwestern (senior attack)
Notes & Quotes: Her coaches have described her as a "dynamic scorer with excellent finishing abilities around the crease." Mupo tallied 33 goals in 2012, third best on the team. Northwestern (6-1) is ranked the No. 4 team in the nation according to the DeBeers Women's Media Poll.

Mike Muller
Alma Mater: Deerfield Academy by way of Rocky Point HS (was part of 2007-08 state championship team)
Current School: Dartmouth (sophomore defenseman)
Notes & Quotes: Played in 11 games as a freshman, and has started in three games so far this season for Dartmouth, which is currently 2-5 in a tough conference.

Jessica Hassett
Alma Mater: Rocky Point, Class of 2011 (three-time All County selection, helped lead team to two county titles)
Current School: Ohio State (sophomore midfielder)
Notes & Quotes: Played in 14 games, starting 6, in 2012; this year, Hassett scored a goal against No. 7-ranked Notre Dame, and has has totaled 3 goals, 1 assist and 9 ground balls so far as a starter in all 8 games for an Ohio team that is 3-5.
