Caitlyn Jenner Supports Nassau Trans Athlete Ban

Biological men face "massive advantages and undeniable differences" over women in sports, Jenner said on Monday.

MINEOLA, NY — Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman has enlisted Caitlyn Jenner to address the divisive transgender athletes ban.

Blakeman signed the controversial executive order last month that led to a cease-and-desist from Attorney General Letitia James and a countersuit from the county.

"As I said before, my executive order has one goal, and that is to make sure that competition is fair and safe, and that we protect women and girls," Blakeman said.

Jenner, who won Olympic gold in 1976, said Monday, "Trans women are competing against women, taking valuable opportunities for the long-protected class under Title IX and causing physical harm."

However, the LGBT Network's David Kilmnick called Jenner's support of the ban, "baffling."

"Embracing policies or ideologies that undermine the rights and dignity of LGBTQ+ individuals is not only hypocritical but also harmful," Kilmnick said. "Jenner's alignment with such positions not only perpetuates discrimination but also adds fuel to the rising number of violent and hate incidents committed against transgender individuals."

Blakeman has said he is unaware of any cases where transgender girls tried to compete in women's sports at Nassau facilities, Newsday reported

The order impacts more than 100 county sites, including ballfields and basketball courts.

"The difference between men and women exists based on DNA, or your chromosomes," Jenner said. "There are massive advantages and undeniable differences."

Kilmnick said: "Blakeman’s illegal and continued assault on the transgender community must come to an end."
