Eisenhower Park Fireworks Postponed

An impending storm caused officials to postpone the "Celebrate America" concert and Grucci fireworks show.

As a storm approaches Long Island, Nassau County officials are postponing the Celebrate America concert and fireworks show at Eisenhower Park.

The show, originally scheduled for Saturday night at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre and sponsored by TD Bank, will instead take place on Monday night.

A Doo Wop concert will kick off the celebration at 7 p.m. in the theater. The performance will all lead up to a fantastic fireworks show by Grucci at around 9 p.m.

There is no formal seating for the show but tickets are required to enter the theater. Admission is free and concertgoers are invited to bring blankets and chairs. Overflow audience members will be directed to other viewing and parking areas.
