The Mineola Union Free School District hosted the FIRST Lego League competition on Saturday, Jan. 31.
Approximately fifty groups competed in two sessions to score the highest in design and teamwork with their robots. Groups had to use their engineering skills to create and develop a robot that could complete approximately a dozen simple tasks in a short period of time.

This is the first time Mineola has hosted the Lego League competition. Mineola Middle School had two teams competing.
