• Long Island man sentenced after running Home Depot black market (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A Nassau County Court judge in Mineola has sentenced a Baldwin man to up to four years in prison for running a multi-county theft ring that hit numerous Home Depot stores. Prosecutors say he directed crews to steal high-demand construction and electrical supplies across Long Island and New York City, then shipped the goods overseas, with investigators later recovering more than $37,000 in merchandise from his home.
