LI Man Arrested In Connection To Mineola Bank Robbery: Police
Authorities have arrested a 49-year-old man they say robbed a Citibank in Mineola over the weekend.

MINEOLA, NY — Nassau County police have arrested a man they say robbed a Citibank in Mineola over the weekend.
Loreto Ferri, 49, of Hempstead, was charged with first-degree robbery in connection to the incident that took place Saturday morning.
Shortly before 12 p.m. on Saturday, Ferri entered the bank at 250 Old Country Rd., handed the teller a note announcing the robbery, and demanded money, according to police. The teller reportedly complied and the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undetermined amount of cash.

There were six employees and one customer inside the bank at the time of the robbery, according to police. No injuries were reported.
During an investigation, detectives said they identified Ferri as a suspect and arrested him on Tuesday afternoon. Ferri is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.
