Nassau Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint Saturday: Nassau County Police

An armed man robbed a BP gas station on Jericho Turnpike in Mineola, stealing cash and fleeing. Police are still investigating.

MINEOLA, NY β€” A Mineola gas station was robbed at gunpoint Saturday, police, say, and robbery squad detectives are still looking for the suspect. According to the Nassau County Police Department, the BP gas station at 91 Jericho Turnpike was robbed by a man displaying a handgun at 5:30 p.m.

An employee of the gas station handed over an unknown amount of money, police say, and the man was able to flee. No customers were in the store at the time and no one was injured.

Police describe the man as being 5 feet 8 inches tall and in his mid-20s. He was of average build and wearing a black mask, police say.
