NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Nassau County vehicles and crew headed north this week to help after a fatal snowstorm paralyzed Buffalo this week, killing at least 30 people in Western New York State.

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman shared that Nassau government crews are currently "operational in Buffalo [with] pay-loaders, plows, high axel vehicles and tractors."

Some of the Buffalo fatalities happened after the storm, with residents stuck in their homes due to the four feet of snow and at times hurricane-force winds. The blizzard's death toll makes it the worst in Buffalo's history.
