Town Of Hempstead To Hold 2 Medicine Disposal Events

HEMPSTEAD, NY — Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, and the Town of Hempstead has two locations where you can give in unwanted medications.

The events run concurrently in Levittown and Hempstead from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The collection events help keep dangerous drugs off the streets and out of our groundwater.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day provides a convenient and responsible way of disposing prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
