The 33-year-old fashion designer was found dead on a boat outside of the Montauk Yacht Club just after midnight Monday.
MONTAUK, NY — Police have identified the woman who was found dead on a boat docked at the Montauk Yacht Club as a 33-year-old fashion designer from Manhattan. Authorities on Tuesday said the woman found dead has been identified as Martha Nolan-O'Slattara.
Nolan is the founder of East X East, a fashion brand offering crocheted dresses, bikinis, sunglasses and other beachwear items.

Death investigation launched after midnight Monday
The woman, who the New York Post reports went by the name Martha Nolan professionally and socially, was pronounced dead at the scene after attempts to resuscitate her via CPR. The preliminary investigation and exam were inconclusive regarding the cause of death, and an autopsy will be conducted.

According to her LinkedIn profile, she graduated from University College Dublin and had a master's in digital marketing from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
She founded eco-friendly brand
She was the founder and creative director of East X East, which was recently featured at a pop-up at Gurney's in Montauk.
The brand bills itself as being committed to using "environmentally-friendly materials and ethical manufacturing processes so that our customers can feel good about their purchases and the impact they have on the world."
On July 1, Nolan posted on TikTok and showed the East X East brand: "POV: The brand you started 3 years ago has a pop up in the Hamptons."
Known as 'high achiever' and 'friendly'
Prior to founding the fashion line, Nolan served as the CEO of Brand Growth Consultants, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She also previously served at the Director of Operations at K4 Capital Management, her profile said. Colleagues described her on LinkedIn as "a high achiever" who "quickly assumed a leadership role."
Those who knew her from the club described her to the Post as being "very friendly" and "always smiling."
