Woman Threatened Police Officer With Knife In Hamptons: PD
She brandished an 8-inch folding knife, police say.
MONTAUK, NY — A Bronx woman was arrested and charged in Montauk last week after she threatened a police officer with a knife, police said.
According to East Hampton Town police, the incident took place on Tuesday at 9:02 p.m. on Montauk Highway. Marlene Julie Pabon, 40, was arrested and charged with menacing a police officer or peace officer, a felony, police said.
Pabon was seen walking in the westbound lane of traffic on Montauk Highway, near the intersection of Old West Lake Drive, police said. When she was approached by a uniformed officer, she turned toward him and brandished an 8-inch folding knife, police said. She then refused to comply with commands to drop the knife and continued to walk west in the lane of traffic, until ultimately subdued, police said.

She was released into the custody of the Suffolk County Sheriff, police said.
