Cross County Overnight Ramp Closure Begins Tonight: NYSDOT

The New York State Department of Transportation said the ramp closure in Yonkers will be repeated on Thursday.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — The westbound Cross County Parkway ramp to the Saw Mill River Parkway southbound in Yonkers is again scheduled to close for two nights this week to complete drainage repairs, according to the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT).

The ramp closure is planned for Tuesday, September 27, and Thursday, September 29. The work will take place between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather permitting.

Detour signs will be posted so that drivers can use the detour to Rumsey Road south, the u-turn at Spruce Street to Rumsey Road north and the Saw Mill River Parkway southbound as an alternate, according to NYSDOT officials.

Officials are urging motorists to slow down and drive responsibly in the work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a drivers license suspension.
