YONKERS, NY — After two years of COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, live music is returning this summer to the Empire City Casino by MGM Resorts in a big way.

Grammy award-winning funk and soul superstars, the Commodores, will perform trackside on Sunday, Aug. 14, at 8 p.m. Some of their most iconic hits include "Brick House," "Saturday Night," "Nightshift," and "Lady."

The Commodores were formed in 1968 while all the members were students at the renowned Tuskegee Institute. After being discovered by Berry Gordy, the Commodores went on to sell over 60 million records for Motown Records, earning them the nickname, "The Legends of Motown." Since then, the group continued to put out new music, created their own record label and toured the world to perform for their international fans.
