Mt. Vernon Schools Hire Investigator To Look Into Consulting Firm
Save Mount Vernon said it found that the consulting firm's owner is a relative of the district's superintendent.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — An investigator will be hired by the Mount Vernon City School District to look into accusations of corruption from community groups.
The Save Mount Vernon group last week drew attention to the school district’s paying $8 million since 2015 to the consulting company Wellcore/Just Inspire, News 12 reported.
The group said it found that a relative of Superintendent Waveline Bennett-Conroy is the owner of Just Inspire, and the group wonders if the relationship has anything to do with the school district giving the company money.
