Traffic Alert: Cross County/Bronx River Pkwy Ramp To Close Overnight

The ramp connecting two of the busiest highways in Westchester will be closed for at least 6 hours overnight Wednesday.

WESTCHESTER, NY — If you're going to be headed home late Wednesday, you might want to start planning an alternate route.

The New York State Department of Transportation says the ramp from the westbound Cross County Parkway to Exit 6 (Bronx River Parkway northbound) in Yonkers will be closed overnight from late Wednesday night to early Thursday morning.

The good news is the closure is not expected to affect the Thursday morning commute. The ramp is expected to be closed from 11 p.m. - 5 a.m. for ramp maintenance.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver's license.
