Traffic Alert: Cross County/Thruway Exit Ramp Closed Nightly This Week
The ramp connecting two of the busiest highways in Westchester will be closed for 6 hours overnight, Monday through Thursday.
YONKERS, NY — If you're going to be headed home late, you might want to plan an alternate route.
The New York State Department of Transportation says the ramp from the westbound Cross County Parkway to Exit 4S (Interstate 87 southbound) in Yonkers will close overnight, four nights this week, weather permitting.
The good news is that the closure is not expected to affect the morning commutes. The ramp will be closed from 11 p.m. - 5 a.m. nightly, Monday through Thursday, for paving activities.

Drivers should follow the posted alternate detours.
The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
