Traffic Alert: New Hutch Lane Closures Again This Week

Breaking: The roadwork will stretch from Pelham Manor to Mount Vernon for two days, but is not planned during rush hours.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — The New York State Department of Transportation said that one lane of the Hutchinson River Parkway northbound and southbound will be closed for construction on Wednesday, Nov. 2 and Thursday, Nov. 3.

The lanes of the Hutch are expected to close between Exit 4 (U.S. Route 1) in Pelham Manor and Exit 8 (Cross County Parkway) in Mount Vernon.

The scheduled roadwork will take place on both days, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., weather permitting, according to the agency.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver's license.
