Travel Alert: Cross County Pkwy Lanes Closed This Week
One lane in each direction of the Cross County Parkway will be closed at Exit 9 for the Hutch for four days this week.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — Commuters in Westchester County are going to want to allow some extra travel time coming and going this week, even if the weather is mild.
The New York State Department of Transportation says that one lane in both directions of the Cross County Parkway is scheduled to close at Exit 9, between the southbound Hutchinson River Parkway and the northbound Hutchinson River Parkway, in Mount Vernon, for four days this week.
The lanes will be closed from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m., from Monday, January 9 until Thursday, January 13, for guard rail work.

The work is weather dependent and subject to change, the Department of Transportation said.
The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver's license.
