Travel Alert: Left Lanes Of Cross County Pkwy Closed This Week
Breaking: The left lanes in each direction of the Cross County Parkway will be closed at Exit 9 for the Hutch for three days this week.
MOUNT VERNON, NY — The morning and evening commute could be a little more stressful for many Westchester commuters this week.
The New York State Department of Transportation says the left lane in both directions of the Cross County Parkway is scheduled to close at Exit 9 (Hutchinson River Parkway) in Mount Vernon, for three days this week.
The lanes will be closed from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m., from Tuesday, October 4 until Thursday, October 6, for guard rail installation.

All work is weather dependent and subject to change, the Department of Transportation said.
The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver's license.
