13 Muggers Beat, Strip Straphanger In NYC Subway Station: NYPD
A swarm of muggers repeatedly assaulted a 19-year-old man inside Columbus Circle station before stealing his coat and sneakers, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — A baker's dozen of muggers beat a 19-year-old straphanger before stripping him of his coat and shoes in a busy Manhattan subway station, police said.
The harrowing assault and robbery early Wednesday inside 59th Street-Columbus Circle station left the teen with minor injuries, for which medics took him to a local hospital, authorities said.
The culprits were a crowd of 13 as-yet-unidentified people who NYPD officials said could be seen in a surveillance video running from a subway station.
