18-Year-Old Fatally Shot In NYC, 5th Teen Killed In Less Than A Week
The latest victim, Joshua Sparrow, was shot and killed in front of 961 Rev James Polite Avenue just after 7 p.m., police said.

NEW YORK CITY — Five teens have been killed in fatal shootings across the city in less than a week — the latest victim being an 18-year-old man who was killed in the Bronx on Monday night, police said.
The latest victim, Joshua Sparrow, was shot and killed in front of 961 Rev James Polite Avenue just after 7 p.m., police said.
Officers who responded to the scene found Sparrow with a gunshot wound to the head and torso. He was transported to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

On Sunday, Tristan Sanders, 15, was fatally shot at a Crown Heights NYCHA complex, police said.
This past Saturday, Taearion Mungo, 16, was shot and killed at a Fort Greene housing complex, Patch previously reported.

On Friday, Malachi Deberry, 15, was gunned down in East Flatbush. The day before, in Harlem, Clarence Jones, 16, was killed, police said.
No arrests have been made in the five incidents, according to police.
