2 People Injured In Daytime Shooting On Lower East Side: NYPD

Police are searching for two male suspects in connection with the shooting.

NEW YORK CITY — Two people were shot on the Lower East Side Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The incident on East Broadway and Clinton Street around 2:30 p.m.

Officers found a 63-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her foot and a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg.

The woman was reportedly an innocent bystander while the man was allegedly the intended target of the shooting, police said.

Both victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.
