2 Injured In NYC Shootings, Ends 5-Day Period Of No Shooting Victims
The two shootings happened in Brooklyn and the Bronx.

NEW YORK CITY — Two overnight shootings in New York City ended a five-day streak without a single shooting victim — a milestone which hadn't been reached in 30 years, according to the NYPD.
The first incident happened minutes after an NYPD statement was posted on social media highlighting the milestone.
Around 10:16 p.m. on Thursday, a 34-year-old man was shot twice in the legs in front of 690 Pennsylvania Avenue in East New York, police said.

The victim was taken to Brookdale University Hospital in stable condition.
The incident apparently escalated following an argument over a car crash, according to multiple media reports.

Police are searching for a man in his 60s, last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a blue fleece.
Three hours later, around 1 a.m. on Friday, a 17-year-old was shot on Watson Avenue in the Bronx, police said.
The teen suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police are searching for two suspects who were wearing black clothing with blue masks.
No arrests have been made in either incidents as of Friday morning.
