2022 Midterms: NYC Police Union Endorses Addabbo In Senator Race
The PBA's endorsement for Addabbo comes as crime rates in New York City continue to soar.
FOREST HILLS – With the 2022 midterm elections around the corner, the city’s Police Benevolent Association is set to endorse State Senator Joseph Addabbo for his reelection run in District 15.
The union’s endorsement for Addabbo, announced on Monday, comes as crime rates in New York City continue to soar, with homicides, larceny, burglary, and assault on an upward trend. According to the NYPD, crime in New York City increased 15.2% in September 2022 compared with the same period last year.
“Your commitment to addressing the issues affecting New York City police officers is
well recognized, and it will be an honor to have you continue representing our members in the
Senate,” said Patrick Lynch, President of the NYC PBA.

Addabbo, who represents sectors of Forest Hills, Howard Beach, Ozone Park, and other areas, will run for reelection on Nov. 8 against Republican candidate Danniel Maio.
“This November 8th, when you head to the polls and vote on the issues affecting your community, like crime and quality of life,” said Addabbo in a statement
