NEW YORK, NY — Two dozen city museums are offering free admission on Saturday as they take part in Smithsonian Magazine's "Museum Day Live!" festivities.

Museums in three of the five boroughs will be waiving costs as part of the promotion, including 18 in Manhattan. Some of the bigger names included on the list are the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, and The Rubin Museum of Art.

Here's how organizers describe the day: "Smithsonian Museum Day Live! is an annual celebration of boundless curiosity hosted by Smithsonian magazine. Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket."
