4 Dead, Including Teen, Elderly Woman In NYC Thanksgiving Violence: PD
This year's deadly violence includes a 17-year-old boy stabbed and a woman, 69, found shot outside her home, police said.

NEW YORK, NY - At least four people were killed on Thanksgiving Day in New York City, including a 17-year-old boy stabbed in Manhattan and a 69-year-old woman found shot outside her Brooklyn home.
The first killing was reported about 1:50 a.m. Thursday, when a 17-year-old and 19-year-old were found with stab wounds to the torso at 96 Lafayette St., the address of a “Viking-themed” lounge offering ax-throwing sessions, police said. It was not immediately clear if axes from the bar were involved in the stabbings.
The teens were rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue where the 17-year-old was pronounced dead and the 19-year-old was listed in stable condition.

Hours later, a man was found stabbed in the torso near Belmont Avenue and Alabama Avenue in Brooklyn about 7 p.m., police said. He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
A 69-year-old Brooklyn woman, later identified as Angelina Renita Parker of Bainbridge Street, was found shot outside her home about 11 p.m., police said. She was rushed to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

A 48-year-old man was shot in the back in Harlem in front of 667 Macombs Place about 11:45 p.m., authorities said. Medics rushed him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem where he was later pronounced dead. Read more: Man, 48, Fatally Shot In Harlem Thanksgiving Day: NYPD
No arrests have been announced in any of the incidents, police said. All investigations remain ongoing.

As of Friday, New York City has 342 reported murder incidents so far in 2023, according to city data. That's down about 12 percent from the same time the previous year.
However, from Nov. 13 to Nov. 19, New York City saw a 28.6 percent increase in reported murders in 2023 (nine) to the same period last year (seven).
