Brooklyn-bound A and C trains will operate via the F line between West 4th Street-Washington Square in Manhattan and Jay Street-MetroTech in Brooklyn due to track work in the line tunnel and there will be no D service in the Bronx between 161 and 205 streets due to structural work in the Concourse line tunnel, so customers should take the parallel 4 line instead, according to the MTA.

Due to track work, the G line operates in two sections between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand avenues and between Bedford-Nostrand avenues and Hoyt-Schermerhorn, but customers can transfer between segments at Bedford-Nostrand avenues and the work ends at 3:00 p.m on Monday to allow customers to travel to the fireworks show located on the East River, the MTA said.

Due to track panel installation, Manhattan-bound J trains will skip stations between Broadway Junction and Myrtle Avenue/Broadway and Jamaica-bound J trains terminate at 121 Street with further service provided by shuttle buses between 121 St and the E train at Jamaica/Van Wyck, according to the MTA.

Long Island Railroad

On Friday, The LIRR will have 10 extra trains and the 1:47 p.m. train from Hunterspoint Avenue to Montauk will depart up to 14 minutes later from Hampton Bays to Montauk, according to the agency. A regular schedule will commence on Saturday and on Independence Day, trains will operate on a Sunday schedule and there will be additional return service from the Hamptons and Montauk. On Tuesday, train 2705, which usually runs on Summer Mondays (seasonal express service to the Hamptons taking travelers out on Fridays and back on Sundays and Mondays) will depart Montauk at 7:28 a.m. and there will be an additional train from Patchogue to Babylon operating at 4:26 p.m. with a transfer in Babylon to Western Terminals. No track work is scheduled this weekend.

Metro-North

Metro-North will have 10 additional trains on its East of Hudson and West of Hudson lines and some trains between 5:25 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. are canceled to best reallocate equipment and accommodate the holiday weekend travel patterns on Friday, according to the MTA.

The weekend will have normal service, but on the Fourth of July, it will operate on a Sunday schedule with two additional trains on the New Haven line and one additional train on the Port Jervis line.

The LaGuardia Link Q70 bus, with connections to the LIRR from Woodside station and the EFMR and 7 subway lines from Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue station, are fare free to and from LaGuardia Airport, until further notice, added the MTA.

MTA Bridges And Tunnels

The daytime scheduled maintenance requiring full lane closures at MTA bridges and tunnels will be suspended beginning at 1 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Tuesday and critical roadwork may be permitted during overnight hours at times when traffic permits, according to the transit agency. Maximum roadway availability will be maintained during peak travel times.
