5 Killed In Separate Homicides Over The Weekend In NYC

Two victims were fatally shot, and three others were stabbed, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — Five people were killed in separate homicides in New York City over the weekend, police said on Monday.

The incidents occurred in Manhattan, Queens, The Bronx and Brooklyn beginning on Friday.

The first incident took place on Friday, around 8:50 p.m. at the Alfred E. Smith Houses in Two Bridges, police said.

A 35-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The victim's identity has not been released as of Monday morning. Police are still trying to a possible motive.

No arrests have been made.

The second incident happened on Saturday around 7:42 p.m. in Queens on 34th Avenue and 96th Street, police said.

Officers found a 32-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

The man has since been identified as Fabian Chimbo.

No arrests have been made in this case.

Almost an hour later, around 8:30 p.m., police found a 30-year-old man was found shot in the chest, and a woman was also injured on Willis Avenue near East 137th Street in The Bronx.

The man, identified as Darren Davis, was transported to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The 42-year-old woman is listed in stable condition.

On Sunday, around 2 p.m., police found a 41-year-old man who was stabbed in the abdomen on a J90 MTA shuttle bus in the vicinity of Crescent Street and Etna Street in Brooklyn.

The man, identified as Alvin Francis, was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Four hours later at East Fordham Road and Webster Avenue in The Bronx, a 31-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the torso, police said.

The man, identified as Fode Bamba, was transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations into these incidents remains ongoing.
