Another 16 Coronavirus Cases Confirmed In NYC
The number is now so large the mayor said the city would stop giving details of individual cases.

NEW YORK CITY — The number of coronavirus cases in New York City increased by 16 Tuesday, meaning there were 36 positive diagnoses as of noon March 10.
Mayor Bill de Blasio announced the figure at Bellevue Medical Center, one of the hosptials that has been prepared to treat cases. The figure was of new test results recorded since his update on Monday.
The number of cases was growing so fast that de Blasio said the city would no longer give details about each individual case.

"We will, of course, when we can give you details of particularly pertinent cases," he said.

He said two of the first patients diagnosed in the city - a health care worker who had been in Iran and her husband — were now asymptomatic and doctors were seeing if they could come out of quarantine, which could happen by the end of the week.
They would be the first cases in the city that had recovered.
Another 195 cases were pending results, with 258 coming back negative. The city had 30 people in mandatory quarantine and 1,980 in voluntary isolation.
