Best Irish Bars In New York City: Where To Drink On St. Patrick's Day
Patch rounded up the best Irish bars in New York City, just in time for St. Patrick's Day.

NEW YORK, NY — If you're looking to knock back a pint of Guinness this week and prepare properly for St. Patrick's Day, Patch has rounded up some of NYC's favorite Irish pubs.

- McSorley's Old Ale House, 15 E 7th St.: McSorley's will top any list of best Irish bars in NYC, and rightfully so. The East Village pub claims to the be the oldest bar in New York City. Although historians have disputed its date of origin, it's undoubtedly been here for a long time, and the paired own menu proves it.
- Mr. Dennehy's, 63 Carmine Street: The Greenwich Village pub and restaurant has discounted Guinness during happy hour.
- Fiddlesticks Pub & Grill, 56 Greenwich Ave.: This pub has Guinness on draft and in its stew. If you'd like an authentic dish to go with your pint, Fiddlesticks offers shepherds pie, fish and chips, and Guinness beef stew.
- The Full Shilling, 160 Pearl St.: This FiDi pubs boasts an interior straight from Belfast and a food menu to match.
- Puck Fair, 298 Lafayette St: Stop by this SoHo join while you still can; Puck Fair is closing at the end of this month.
- Storehouse, 69 W 23rd St: A no-frills sports bar in Flatiron that has all the basics.
- Farrell's Bar & Grill, 215 Prospect Park West: The name of this Windsor Terrace pub is a bit deceiving, as there's no food to be had here. Nonetheless, Farrell's gets the basics (read: beer) right. The bar is famous for serving 32 ounce beers in Styrofoam cups.
