NEW YORK CITY — Bill de Blasio and Chirlane McCray aren't quite single, but they're ready to mingle, according to a new report.
New York City's former first couple plan to date other people, the New York Times first reported.
The political power pair told the Times that they're separating, but will not divorce and will continue to live together in their Park Slope home.

De Blasio pinned the relationship change on, among other factors, pressures from being the city's mayor and the coronavirus pandemic. For her part, McCray mentioned skepticism over de Blasio's ultimately failed 2020 presidential bid — an assessment shared by scores of New Yorkers.
"I thought it was a distraction," she said the Times.

The report resulted from a nearly three-hour interview with the Times, in which the couple apparently shared that their current "it's complicated" relationship status began with a question from de Blasio during a night of binge-watching television.
The question: "Why aren’t you lovey-dovey anymore?"
And for New Yorkers who won't say "de-BLAH-sio" to dating the former mayor, there's one place you won't find him: dating apps.
De Blasio told the Times he is "not a believer" in online dating.
