🌱 BK Subway Shooter Pleads Not Guilty + NYC Marks 1M COVID Deaths
NYC Daily: The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in New York City.

Good morning New York City! The weather this weekend might not be the best - it's definitely more humid than my personal preference - but there's lots going on, from street fairs to cultural parades, to art festivals.
On a more serious note, the man accused of last month's Sunset Park shooting pleaded 'not guilty' to terrorism charges, NYC energy bills are expected to spike this summer, and the Mayor is losing thousands in cryptocurrency.

- New Yorkers could see as much as a 12 percent increase in their energy bills this summer, per the state's Public Service Commission. That's on top of already rising Con-Ed bills brought on by inflation. (New York City Patch)
- Mayor Adams is still betting on cryptocurrencies, despite having lost an estimated $5,800 in his first months in office. The mayor had previously committed to converting his first three paychecks into digital currencies. (New York City Patch)
