Chic Suspect Uses High Heels To Strike Woman Near Union Square: NYPD
A woman is wanted for a crime of fashion.

NEW YORK CITY — Call it a crime of fashion.
A chic woman used her high heels as a weapon in an early Sunday scuffle near Union Square, police said.
The shoe-wielding suspect sashayed off after the fight, which left another woman, 43, cut and bruised, authorities said.

NYPD officials Tuesday released photos of a woman they said committed the high-heeled assault.

The assaulted unfolded about 2:30 a.m. at University Place and East 13th Street, near Union Square, after the woman and high-heeled fashionista struck up a conversation, police said.

Their conversation escalated into a fight in which one woman took off her heels and struck the other several times in the back with at least one pointy shoe, authorities said.
The attacker is described as a woman, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, who was last seen wearing a pink top, blue jeans and black heels, NYPD officials said.
