THE BRONX, NY — Authorities busted a New York City public school teacher Wednesday who allegedly had child pornography on his computer, the NYPD said. Jonathan Schweitzer, 41, is facing federal charges following his Wednesday morning arrest in The Bronx, police said.
A spokesman for federal prosecutors confirmed that Schweitzer is in custody but could not detail the accusations against him.

He allegedly had a stash of photos and videos showing kids engaged in sexual acts, according to the New York Daily News. Federal authorities tracked him down while probing the dark web, ABC7 reported.
The DOE will take Schweitzer off its payroll and look to fire him as soon as it legally can, a department spokesman said.
