Child Services Investigating Anthony Weiner Over Sexting Pic: Report

The former congressman is being investigated by the Administration for Children's Services, according to the New York Post.

NEW YORK, NY — Anthony Weiner has already run afoul of his wife, but now he might be dealing with the law as well.

According to the New York Post, Weiner is being investigated by the city's Administration for Children's Services over the picture he sent to a woman of himself in bed, which included his infant son.

Patch reached out to ACS but was told it would not comment on individual cases.

“In order to protect children and their privacy, ACS does not comment on specific cases or allegations of child maltreatment, regardless of whether or not allegations have been reported, are being investigated, or have not resulted in an investigation,” a spokesperson told Patch by email.

The Post reports ACS investigators made a visit to Weiner's home in Union Square within the 48-hour window necessary after launching an investigation.

The former congressman was ditched by his wife, Huma Abedin, on Monday after it emerged Weiner had a racy dalliance with a woman on Twitter and in text messages. Abedin, a close confidant of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, released a statement saying, "After long and painful consideration and work on my marriage, I have made the decision to separate from my husband. Anthony and I remain devoted to doing what is best for our son, who is the light of our life. During this difficult time, I ask for respect for our privacy."

Weiner also reportedly called his son "a chick magnet" in conversations with the unnamed woman.
