Cop Dies After Shooting Self In Head, NYPD Says
The officer suffered what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Forest Hills Wednesday evening, the NYPD said.

FOREST HILLS, NY — A New York City police officer died after shooting themselves in the head Wednesday evening in Forest Hills, according to the NYPD.
The officer suffered what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in a vehicle at Tennis Place and Burns Street, a police spokesman said. The incident was reported just after 6:30 p.m., he said.
The cop was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the NYPD spokesman said.
